We truly believe that most organisations “do futures” already as part of their day-to-day operations, but almost all of them lack a structured and reliable approach to understanding and communicating the issues they uncover. In order to address these problems, Cranfield offers a number of standardised and tailored training courses to help organisations develop defensible processes, conduct analyses, and establish a true future-focused mindset. These training sessions can be held either at Cranfield or on-site at your own premises.

Our standard training days are compatible with the needs of most organisations, from government agencies to for-profit businesses and everything in between. They provide a generalised foundation in futures and horizon scanning upon which a truly successful futures thinking capacity can be constructed. On the other hand, you may find yourself looking for something more tailored or perhaps you would like to “learn while doing”. If this is the case, we would be happy to develop individualised training days for your organisation. To create these sessions, we begin by working to understand your exact objectives and ambitions. From here we develop outline structure and content, including both taught and practical sessions tailored specifically for your industry.

We also have a wealth of experience in providing ad-hoc support to those organisations that already have some capacities in futures but desire specialised workshop facilitation, support, peer review, or guidance. Our trained facilitators, researchers, and knowledge exchange staff are available to work alongside you, providing expert guidance where you need it but respecting your ultimate control at all times.
